British Bangla News : Afzal Sayed Munna is a Doctoral Researcher at University of Bath and a Lecturer, Module Leader and Programme Coordinator at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, London. He is also the Vice Chair for Newham Barking and Dagenham Liberal Democrats. Here he talks about his contribution to the Macmillan Cancer Support, in celebration of Brave the Shave Challenge.
Tell us in brief about the Brave the Shave?
Thousands of incredible people are getting sponsored to shave their hair for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Why you have taken the initiative?
I have been thinking about it for long but thought to materialise it this time. There would be no better time for this support than the month of Ramadan.
What was your first big ambition for this brave challenge?
I wanted to create awareness among my friends and families mostly and of course through social media the greater part of the community.
Why are you proud of?
I am proud of my family, friends and colleagues who supported me .
What is your best piece of advice for others?
The world is a beautiful place to live and through our little efforts we can make many more to smile. Together we are much stronger
